Color samples
After exhausting work – tracking down and summarizing practical information about the color shades used on ŠKODA vehicles (from Škoda 440 onwards) – I present gradually compiled materials. How much I traveled and time I devoted to research, including trips to BaL factories and the museum in Mladá Boleslav. For example, during the renovation of our Simca Aronde in the 1990s, I scientifically investigated the shade of green paint for the engine block and traveled all the way to Kralupy nad Vltavou, where they mixed it for me, even in a heat-resistant version!
Today I devote more time to inspiring visits to cafés including literary ones, expertly guided walks around Prague and elsewhere, collecting old postcards... Actually, vintage cars were for me a means of traveling to the past, in that café or wandering through Prague and discovering beauty, wonders, and the presence of history at every step, on every façade, statue, front, architectural style, memorial plaque, bust, inscriptions almost philosophical on old houses. Every day you can discover something new and complete the picture...
