Mr. Júlio Ferreira, Portugal – Škoda 1000 MB after restoration in 2006.

In the photograph is Mr. Morgado, who carried out the restoration. We helped Július by sending several spare parts.

Greetings, Václav! Finally a few photos – I’ll send the history soon. My cousin is restoring the car, we’ll contact you in September about parts. Best regards, Júlio.

Mr. Jiří Revox – Škoda 1000 MB. Sending a few photos; we call her “pacička” (little paw). It’s no longer completely original — my uncle, who had it before me, redid all the wiring – for example, each side light can be switched separately.

The reverse light can be turned on independently of the gear, the blinkers can flash all at once as hazard lights or stay constantly lit. There are loads of functions I don’t even know how to activate. Each button does something different, and when I press a few at once, the dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree.

There are new fenders, sills, and a few minor details, but visually it still looks original. Only the front decorative frames are missing – you can judge from the photos.

I mounted the front indicators myself, there were holes left from the original ones because the new fenders are for the 1969 type and mine is a 1967 model. The odometer shows about 37,500 km, I drive about a thousand a year.

Mr. Miroslav Hrubý, Prague – Škoda 1000 MB, 1967. Purchased on April 19, 1967, after three years on the waiting list, for 45,850 Kčs. In 1969, after a non-fault accident, the body was replaced, which still retains its original paint, untouched by welding or filler.

The car passed 14 technical inspections without faults. Never serviced in a repair shop (except for body replacement). 135,000 km driven.

I perform all repairs and maintenance myself, including replacing gearbox bearings with bronze cages instead of steel ones. Runs without issues and I’ve been satisfied for 42 years.

Mr. Hans Hubers, Netherlands – Škoda 1000 MB. “First I bought my beauty in CZ. Then in Germany... boiling... Not driveable... Then a few days later I get the car with my bus and we fell on our side. Complete chaos. Two cars total-loss! SHIT!!!”

An almost tragicomic story. Hans bought this beautiful MB in the Czech Republic; during transport to the Netherlands it broke down, so he had it towed off the highway and after a few days loaded it on his trailer and...

Still in Germany, he overturned with the entire set, destroying both cars and the trailer. Eventually, the MB arrived on a large transporter...

Mr. Pavel Kozák, Písek – Škoda 1000 MB, 1968. + Škoda Octavia 1961 + Jawa 250 type 353 1957 + ČZ 501 1958.

Good day, Mr. Vaněček. I’m sending a few details about my machines and also photo documentation. I bought the Škoda 1000 MB last year with a pile of spare parts for 6,000 CZK.

The car is from 1968, but it has a 1964 body – narrow pillar. Paint is preserved but not original.

It has 110,000 km on the odometer. The engine also runs perfectly. I preemptively did the brakes on this car too – and it paid off.

The chassis (floor and wheel arches) are treated with quality anti-corrosion paint. The interior is also quite preserved, blue-white. I’m the second owner; the car comes from the Příbram area.

I’m the second owner, the car came from near Příbram.

Mr. Lukeš, Prague – MBG.

Mr. Vladimír Tomek, Mělník – Škoda 1000 MB. Also a fleet of 1202 cars in various versions + 1201 sedan, STW + Octavia Combi.

This is my sweetheart Škoda 1000 MB (“Little Red Riding Hood”) and my Pav 100 trailer (“the box” :-)). Karkulka, year 1967, except for a few details (e.g. rear mudflaps, indicator lenses are replicas).

Top original condition. In some photos, diagonal tires (stored in the garage); currently on “daisy” rims.

Our “boxy” Pav has the original tow bar and original papers. Both bought from resellers at steep prices, but it was worth it :-)

Mr. Miroslav Nagy, Lučenec – Škoda 1100 MBX, 1969. The restoration took a bit longer than expected. The car was completely rusted from the seams of the fenders and doors. A damp wooden garage and the walnut tree under which it stood, combined with the seasons, did their work. The MBX still lacks some details that will be fine-tuned in operation, but it’s like with Kofola – when you love it, there’s nothing to solve, you just have to drive. The main driving force is my son Adam, who was born and grew up during the restoration — no ride, washing, or repair can happen without him. Thank you for the roof moldings, they fit the MBX perfectly. The photo also shows an Octavia, which was restored ten years ago.

We'll polish it once more before the start.

Japanese are pushing everywhere.

Bought in perfect and completely original condition from a 74-year-old first owner. Only the rear fog light and radial tires are non-original. The car is completely rust-free.

Simply a beauty and a showpiece. No dents, no scratches. Only minor paint corrections consistent with its 39 years. Chrome is original and like new!

Modifications: replacement of rear light covers, front grille crescents (new original spare parts), added chrome “drops” around indicators. Original blinkers already obtained.
