Aronde, Elysee, Vedette, Ariane

The French automaker SIMCA produced some of the most popular mid-class cars of its era. Models such as the Aronde, Elysée, Vedette, and Ariane were known for their elegant styling, solid build quality, and reliability, earning them a following not only in France but also across Europe.

The Simca Aronde was the most widespread model, produced in several body styles including a two-door version, estate (Combi), pick-up, and the stylish Grand Large coupé. The Aronde became a symbol of post-war progress in the French automotive industry. Some models even carried a rear badge commemorating endurance records achieved in the 1950s.

In the 1960s, it was succeeded by the updated Elysée, offered as both a sedan and a station wagon. With more elegant lines and an improved interior, it reflected the shift toward more refined and comfortable vehicles.

The Vedette and Ariane models represented larger and more luxurious cars with distinctive designs. Sportier variants such as the Oceane and Coupe de Ville remain among the most captivating SIMCA vehicles ever built.
